The Fête de la Musique Pretoria 2019, which took place on the Saturday 8th of June 2019, was an enormous success! With over 30 musicians on the two main stages, and a number of musicians playing on one of the four busking stages, it saw thousands of people enjoying the best of Pretoria!
The new venue was great, with special thanks to the Atterbury Property Group, it saw people from all walks of life making their way around the Fête, enjoying the music, and the food from the different restaurants, including the Life Grand Café, whom sponsored part of the stages, which were packed throughout the day and the evening. Markets were organised, with food and drink for sale, which also helped to guide the people around the two big venues of The Club and The Village in Hazelwood.
In true spirit of the Fête de la Musique (make music festival), different genres of music were proposed, which gave it a special flair that drew people from different backgrounds to experience different types of music, from Classical, Jazz, Afro-fusion, World, to Rock, Cabaret and much more. As one band finished, another climbed on stage to start. Every half an hour, a different band, with different styles of music, and this is what gives the Fête de la Musique its charm!
